Hamsters, String Cheese & Lovin'

Today was a day of yellow-o-sity.

{love it}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had TWO cupcakes tonight to celebrate Biola's birthday.
I accidentally did not eat anything else for dinner.
oopies.
The drama of such a choice has ensued in pure ants~i~ness throughout myself.
It feels like there is a little hamster-guy running on a wheel inside myself.
He is a very quick little buddy, I must say.
Maybe he ate cupcakes for dinner too.
Here's the tragedy:
I thought I should put something else inside my stummy to
absorb some of the sugar.
I took a break from bouncing on my chair homeworking to pop some corn.
The first bite revealed its true nature as kettle corn.
EYUCK.
I hate it when that happens.
I guess my "dinner" will now consist of
string cheese,
chocolate, and
string cheese.
Eh it all evens out in there somehow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

P.s. today was a good day for loving.
I am so thankful that God has placed people and people groups in my life to be loved.
We're all lookin' for a little lovin'.
Stoked to be on both ends of that deal.

Karate Middie & String Cheese

One time this morning I had a midterm for my karate class.
I finished up my vocabulary test,
(I can now count to ten in Korean...
and yell quasi-pronunciations of other words)
and then we sat in a circle around two columns of cinder blocks.

My instructor balanced a piece of wood on top of them
and with one fluid motion,
he thwacked it into two pieces.

He explained how he did it and then asked for volunteers.
All the boys went first.

Then it was my turn.

Oye vey, I'm not sure I've ever been
so intimidated by an inanimate object!

I skipped my way up and aimed and took practice swings a few times.
And then I just did it.

Yeah that's right.
I karate chopped a piece of wood.

I'm pretty much ready to fight anyone now.

Besides lovely conversations and copious amounts of homeworking
this day has been marked by
very nearly
consuming my body weight in string cheese.

Kiwi Kiwi Kiwiwiwiwiw

I lova lova love love kiwis.

When I went home on Thursday, my sweet mommy-moo gave me a kiwi knife spoon that came in a kit and some delicious kiwis.
Knife/spoon ((spife? knoon? ifespoo?)) is my new favorite utensil.
It beat out spork by a small margin.
It's a good day to eat kiwis.

Hearts, Stars, and Horseshoes....

Being partially Irish-
and by partially I mean a really small part of me...like maybe my big toe is Irish-
I do believe that I have the freedom to celebrate this day in any way that I want.

Which means I'm wearing red, white, and blue
((with green shoes))
and planning to feast on
LUCKY CHARMS
all day.

Happy Pi(e) Day!!!!!

I've been viciously craving lemon merengue pie for the last many many weeks.
I can't exactly remember a time when I wasn't craving it.

Yesterday, I discovered a new restaurant up the street that I immediately stereotyped as a pie-worthy place.
I rode my yellow bike on over, walked in, and asked if I could have a slice of lemon merengue pie.
My little heart felt giddy with joy when the sweet lady behind the counter answered with a yes.

I smiled the whole way home.

Best slice of pie. Ever.
I'm going to try to get a job there.
I promise my intentions are honorable...
and by honorable I mean based off of my insane cravings.

...

Today in honor of Pi Day (3.14), Georgey and I are making grasshopper pie.
